Falling Stars is designed to be a 2-year, 100 session campaign spanning levels 1-20. The campaign is designed to be adaptive, to have a core group of players, work around absences when needed, invite guests sometimes, and (hopefully) have minimal changes of permanent characters.
The campaign starts in Selgaunt (pronounced: SELL-gont), the coastal capital city of Sembia in the year 1459 DR. The city is a large port, bringing in visitors from all over the Sea of Fallen Stars and occasionally from far beyond, thanks to established trade connecting the traditionally land-locked sea to other seas.
Goddart Talendar, the youngest son of the wealthiest family in Selgaunt, is an aspiring adventurer who dreams of making a difference. His decision to become an adventurer had brought a mix of volunteers who had more money than sense.
Knowing the dangers of this, Torria (a 102 year old half-elf cleric hired by the Talendar family) recruits an unlikely group of adventurers to ensure Goddart stands a chance of survival. Torria has the unique ability to see the strength of someone’s fate, and in Goddart and each of the party members, she sees a strong fate that will influence the world.
